Type B thermocouples are made of a platinum-rhodium alloy (PtRh30-PtRh6) for the positive leg and a platinum-rhodium alloy (PtRh6-PtRh30) for the negative leg. The temperature range for a Type B thermocouple is approximately 0°C to 1820°C (32°F to 3308°F). These thermocouples are known for their high accuracy and stability at high temperatures, making them suitable for various industrial and scientific applications where precise temperature measurement is crucial.
